And hey, in my last job, for six months I was one over-qualified data entry clerk, too :P But it was a job, and it was actually kind of a nice job. Although it was odd that I had a higher degree than the head of HR :P Just goes to show that qualifications aren't really anything more than pieces of paper. Experience and attitude matter more. I kinda like the idea of doing odd jobs all my life and ending up with a resume 7 pages long :P

2009-08-16 [The Matter of Splatter]: No her power isn't locating mutants at all. She trained herself as a massively good fighter and tracker. All her powers are enhanced sight, meaning she can see in the dark very well too, enhanced smell, touch, and taste. She's also pretty strong and stuff, but I think thats just from living in the Morlock tunnels.

2009-08-16 [The Matter of Splatter]: Last I read any comics with her in it where the incanny x-men when she clipped angels pin feathers and kept him in the tunnels, when she battled storm for leadership...in X-Factor when the Marauders totally annihilated all of them, and the most recent I've read is when she was sick and encouraging Marrow to join the X-Men...which isn't so recent anymore I'm guessing.

Too bad that in recent years the plot lines have gone to hell and so has the art. If you are an avid comic book fan looking for some vague continuity, however, you'll always be disappointed with those movies lol...by far, the new Punisher, the new Hulk, and Iron Man where freakin' awesome...I think though that's because Marvel finally has their own studio.

2009-08-18 [Ravenclaw]: There where some definite inconsistencies but most are understandable considering that they like to tie in a thread of reality. X-3 would have been a complete flop I think if they'd decided to stay true to the original Phoenix origins.

I preferred Tom Jane's Punisher but I didn't dislike the Marvel Knights variation. Chocked full of total ass kickery it was. I think it was the cast and the comedy in the original that makes me prefer it. I really like Rebecca Romaine. I think we can both agree that the Dolf Lundren version from the 80's was a total dweeb fest.

2009-08-19 [The Matter of Splatter]: Well I think as far as the X-Men goes, most of the plot could have stayed...3 was by far the worst, i.e. Rogue giving up her powers, age inconsistensies, Prof X being incinerated ect ect...I hated that one most of all...but having them in spandex and whatnot would have just looked silly.

The Punisher has always been one of my favorites and I can happily say the marvel knights version blew the other out of the water. It took the Punisher like days to meticulously plan to kill a total of maybe six or so people, in the new one there was little thinking and more killing, how it should be. Plus the MK version had in more of a wartime mindset with less of a conscious. Haha the Dolf version had ninjas at least :P back then he would have beena great candidate to play the punisher..too bad no one would have known because the dumbass director only put the skull inisgnia on the hilt of franks knife for a split second...they should have called it Frank Castle: AWOL cop

Wolverine is another of my favorites and suprisingly they didn't mess him up to bad or his story line...I mean aside from the fact that besides deadpool, sabretooth and he being in weapon X, no one else in weapon X was in there...amongst many other tiny scrutinies but it wasnt to bad at all

2009-08-19 [Ravenclaw]: Xavier isn't exactly dead, he just transferred his consciousness into his twin. Considering that I don't think Jean would have allowed the Phoenix to kill Summers. She'd have dropped his consciousness in the astral plain imho.

I loved Wolverine, anything where Hugh Jackman runs around killing people, I'm gonna go see. Well, anything where Hugh Jackman runs around, or walks or just stands still, I'm gonna go see lol. But the only things I didn't like about it where the lack of Ryan Reynolds as DP and the time line. RR gets one good scene and his funniest line is "Take a sword to your ex-girlfriends wedding, people remember." I was so stoked about him playing DP too and he's a big DP fan and really wants to do a movie. I think the only person who would have done as well would have been Dane Cook.

The other thing that chapped my butt was that Logan wasn't alive during the Civil War. While it was totally cool and awesome to see he was born 1880-something.

That's about it, other than they totally shanked Rose from the storyline.

2009-08-21 [The Matter of Splatter]: Well I understood what Xavier did, but I had no clue he had I twin. Remember I dropped off the comic book map sometime in between 1997-1999. The art got too childish and the stories either to..noir, or the original stories what too freaking messed up to cater to a new audience...but I agree, Jean would have never harmed Scott if she could help it in anyway.

As far as Wolverine I liked that they stuck with the Origin storyline as that was a recent story arc I actually liked. I don't understand why they called Maverick "zero", made him asian and killed him off. I dont know who the black guy and electro boy where but they as well as the blob didn't belong. Gambit could have also been kept out, and I hated how they totally cut out all of the weapon X training, and every single bit of alpha flight and dept H...but that would have been one hell of a long movie...not to mention his time in Japan training as a samurai. Plus it all happened way too quickly anyway...and an adamantium bullet? Gay. I think ryan reynolds was a good choice for wade. he had the mouth and the build. Plus hes more of a funny/obnoxious, wherein dane cook is more of a condescending asshole who has a talent in stating the obvious. I sincerely hate what they did to him at the end....so to sum it up, the process of logan becoming weapon X way too short, half of weapon X was replaced by needless characters, alpha flight or Japan never made an appearance, why on Earth was gayclops involved, why did they turn deadpool into a homo....but I digress haha...aside from that, decent movie. One movie I saw last night though that I never ever wished I had was The legend of chun li. What a train wreck.

We agree about the bullet. We all know about the mystical sword that he gave Summers. Bullet? Please. I get why a lot of people didn't like Wolverine and yes there was a lot of needlessness for sake of audience. But as total ass kickery goes, and that's how I usually rate the majority of films I watch, with The Kickass-o-Meeter. I thought it was totally showing up at midnight to get the game worthy. I sound like such a dude lol.

The Legend of Chun Li would have been better without Miss Smallville clogging up the potential awesomeness of it. Yeah yeah she's got like fifteen belts in a bunch of different crap but I don't effing like her. I was so happy when Lex thought he killed her!

2009-08-22 [The Matter of Splatter]: Ah. A friend of mine informed me that said events with Xavier occured in Uncanny X-Men in recent years, apparently Beast now looks like beauty and the beast and is gay...what the fuck man...I am glad I have not bought a comic book in a very long time.

The only reason the bullet pissed me off is because his memory was erased by decades long training and brainwashing. He wasn't a natural killer, he was made into one....it's like at the end of the movie they said oh yeah he isnt supposed to have his memory! Blammo! Problem solved....but the action was freakin' awesome...only the Wolverine I know would have killed a hell of a lot more people.

Here's the low down on Cun Li: First off, bad choice for a main character. Chun li is a muscular woman with huge legs and a nice rack, not a skeleton from some horrible superman soap opera. Secondly, they made Charlie (known as Nash in Japan) a total weiner. In the story line, he starts off as guiles right hand man in the army, turns interpol and is killed by bison via explosion. Guile never made an appearance. Gen trained Chun Li's dad, not Chun Li...I also might add that Gen is the only mortal man that Akuma fears aside fropm Ryu and his own brother (Akuma being the red haired ryu knockoff with prayer beads)...Akuma being like the strongest character in the game...and yet Bison kicked his ass with ease. Balrog lasted longer than Vega, how is beyond me. Chun Li never became poor, she joined interpol to find Bison....ontop of that she kills M Bison. Thats retarded...and at the very end amidst two boring stories (bison/chun li) and one unnecessary story (the cops) they throw in the tournament aspect...that movie was so freakin horrible.

Yeah, besides, how hard would it have been to have a telepath just wipe his head? It would have at least seemed more realistic that a freaking adamantium bullet. It's also his healing factor that causes a lot of his memory loss. It's weird but he suppresses things. His mind will completely get rid of something that would be considered too difficult to live with. By the time he and Rose made it to Alberta he'd forgotten his name and where they'd came from and that was after the shit went down at his parents house. When he slashed Dog and killed Logan and his mother stuck a shotgun in her mouth. But I understand how something like that is difficult to translate onto film.

I don't know much about street fighter. I do remember watching the one with Jean Claud Van Damm and Raoul Julia when I was a kid.

It only seems logically that his mind would compensate just as much as his body would. That's why Deadpool is so fucked up. The cancer continually eats away at him, especially his brain, so his mind is constantly rewriting itself because of that making him a total nutjob. 2009-08-23 [Ravenclaw]: I've got 3 that I run. X-Men United, New X-Men United and Generation-x

X-1 is the most popular with the most players.

x-2 is the same game but set 10 years in the future of X-1. All the original students from the first one have grown up and come back to teach. You can't be a teacher unless you played the same character in X-1.

Gen-x is set roughly 17 years in the future of X-2 and features the products of the couples from the second game. But instead of actually running the school, because the original teams have disappeared and they are sort of under S.H.I.E.L.D.'S thumb, or so Shield likes to think.

2009-08-23 [Ravenclaw]: Most people join X-1 first, it's more user friendly and not as prone to spurts of inactivity as the last two are. It's sort of a proving ground before we allow anyone else to join x-2 or 3.

Applications are closed at the moment but that'll change within the next two weeks or so. I need to do a micro-jump and then a mini-jump to get things going. But if you want to come up with someone that's plenty of time to get them figured out. There are two pending characters from other people too who are waiting to join.

I always encourage people to scan the bios (X-Characters)of the other characters so they don't duplicate anyone's powers and I always go over the new arrivals to make sure everyone has a slice of the Unique Pie.

2009-08-24 [Ravenclaw]: I've usually got tons of ideas for new mutants if you find yourself blocked. I spend half my time negotiating powers with new players any way because they don't take the time out to check the x-characters page.

I'll never forget the argument I had with a guy who doesn't play with us any more. He wanted his character to shape shift into a polar and a grizzly bear and then a weird bipedal hybrid of the two. In the end I made him choose between the two and after he consistently disregarded the rules (inactivity) I killed him with a wayward meteor.

2009-08-25 [Ravenclaw]: yeah, we always screen for overly powerful characters. People tend to compile a bunch of powers on say a 16 year old. We like to limit that in the beginning and when the player is ready to level up we allow "Latent Mutations" which always wreaks nice fun havoc for the other students.

Totally off topic and having nothing to do with Marvel, Batman: Arkham Asylum is poop your pants awesome! Though the "new" dynamic fighting reminds me a lot of Wolverine: Uncaged. Not complaining though.

Like I said, Wolverine: Uncaged and Batman: Arkham Asylum are very similar. Wolverine lunges, Batman grapples, Wolverine climbs on ledges, Batman climbs on ledges, Wolvie finds Dog Tags, Batman finds Riddler Clues.

I'm not complaining, not one bit. It makes me feel more familiar with the games and on a whole both are different enough to keep me interested for hours. I'd recommend both to any one. It's just the idea of two video games from different comic companies looking and playing so much alike. It's like Batman is Wolvie 2.0, game wise.

As long as we all speak the same language and the general message is understood, I personally think that's fine. Semantics is a tool for the stuck up people to feel more intelligent than they actually are. Aside from correcting my spelling errors I sincerely hate it when someone asks me the time and I say "around 5:00" and someone else feels the need to say "actually, it's 4:54 p.m." hahaha it's retarded.

We have several themed holidays in december here in Holland.
One is Sinterklaas, the other Christmas.
And they actually start with christmas decoration Before Sinterklaas. (Santa claus is a Sinterklaas ripoff, but somehow in the Netherlands we celebrate them as two seperate occasions)
